L.A Noire - the $50m Project

A recent list compiled by Digital Battle reveals that Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto IV is the most expensive game ever! The Liberty City crime title released in April 2008 took 1000 people just over three and a half years to complete and cost £65.5m ($100m) Interestingly GTA IV was not Rockstar's only entry on the list the yet to be released L.A. Noire will cost £32.7m ($50m) to develop. Other entries on the list include Gran Turismo 5 from Sony at £52m ($80m) and Shenmue costing £45.8m ($70m) Judging by the commercial success of Grand Theft Auto IV it seems to be money well spent for Rockstar, lets hope L.A Noire proves to produce just as much value for money.
